Monique Ameyo Constance, M.Ed. is an educator, socio - political scientist, and artist. She is a graduate of the University of Georgia (BA, International Affairs, ‘10), and Texas A&M University (Curriculum and Instruction; Urban Education, ‘22). 

She uses her background in English education, political science, and the arts to design Griot: Literary Studies Curriculum, which is based on her personal application of Culturally Relevant Pedagogy (Ladson - Billings, 1995), as well as learning and curricular standards of the International Baccalaureate (IB) English Programme. The curriculum honors and centers Black arts, literature, and socio - political history; as well as the instruction of critical and creative writing. Monique documents, researches, preserves, and writes about the narratives and experiences of Black people across Africa and the African Diaspora. Specifically, her interest lays in the impact of policies on Black artistic expression and communities.

Artistically, Monique works as a freelance filmmaker, with work featured on VH1, the Crown Act Campaign, and for Atlantic Records. She works closely with the Black owned production house, House of the Young, Ent.
