ABOUT

Black Love Project is a creative incubator whose mission is positively impact the literacy of high school students through ELA instruction and creative writing, and to document Black stories.

We are an organization that is interested in preserving the culture + thought of the African Diaspora through education and documentation. Through our curriculum and youth - writing residency Writer’s Block, we work with young writers to teach socio-politics, culture, and history, literacy, and creative writing.

In partnership with New Orleans based production company House of the Young Ent., we have created and produced Pass the Peas, a digital and community dinner series that documents and preserves the Black tradition of sharing knowledge and breaking bread. Proceeds from our community dinners fund the Williams + Amuzu Foundation - which supports the artistic, entrepreneurial, and scholastic efforts of students of the African Diaspora.
